Position Summary

Employment Type: Per Diem, Travel Or Contract

Shifts: Day Shift, Evening, NOC (Nights), Weekends (10hrs x 4 days; 8hrs x 5 days; 12hrs x 3 days)

Client Settings: Skilled Nursing, Post-Acute, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, Assisted Living and Memory Care, Hospice Clinics, Hospitals, Correctional Facilities, Schools, and Urgent Care

Responsibilities

Participate in the planning and coordination of total patient care in conjunction with the physician's plan of care, and follow the nursing care plan for each patient

Accurately report and record the patient's condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change.

Prepare clinical/progress notes and summaries.

Assist the physician in complex nursing situations.

Follow universal precautions whenever giving any aspect of patient care.

Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event, incident, e.g., accident, injury or significant change in the patient's condition.

Functions as a resource person and mentor to peers and subordinates to maintain professional nursing standards.

Acts on patients, resident’s behalf to assure patient rights and wellness.

Qualifications

Current state license as an RN/LPN/CNA.

Graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing.

Proof of current CPR, HCA and Food Handlers certification.

Ability to work flexible schedules.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
